Yes, it’s possible to enjoy all the features of Facebook without a meltdown. I have used the “help” menu and watched videos online but most of my knowledge was acquired quickly by experimenting with all the titles, headings, and expanded directions attached.
Create your profile is a great place to start. You can choose how much or how little personal information to reveal. You can select a picture of yourself or you can use a graphic.
You will appreciate the wide variety of Causes that you can support. Its a simple process to post a worthy Cause to your page. Share your reasons about why you support the cause and share it with your friends. This is a terrific way to add people and raise funds. You might want to create a local Cause and use it to educate and inform others.
You can post your family vacation, wedding pictures, or baby albums to your page. You get to name the album, decide which pictures to put in the album, and pick who gets to see the album. You will be able to create an album cover, tag people by name in each photo, and you can organize it. If you post it to your page it will show up in the “news feed” and “live feed” where it can be shared by others.
It’s simple to post videos to your site. Post links to videos and internet articles to share with everyone. I have videos posted that show my son issuing Halloween greetings, carving his pumpkins, and showing off his costume. I have also posted videos from news sites about current issues to the top of my page.
I am growing crops on three farms. Yesterday I added a new barn and some beautiful streams. My daughter has joined the mafia and has created her own roller coaster theme park. My Dad is one of my neighbors on one of my farms and this morning he chased some crows away and left me a note in my “farm” mailbox. Just another way to interact with your friends.
Chat with friends online, join a discussion, make comments, and have fun. Make sure you check your application settings twice. You can regulate who can see your information, who can comment, and what applications can post automatically to your wall. There is a private message center each Facebook page. This allows you to have private message traffic that no one else can see.
Brace yourself for balloons with cheery messages, lots of colorful hearts with imaginative names, and so much more that will lighten your mood. When you send a smile to a friend you will probably get one back electronically and they will be wearing the other one. Just get your fingers on the keyboard and take a social site safari. In no time at all you will be having fun and interacting with friends in a ways you never suspected.
