Can you enter an AP studio art portfolio with realistic drawings alone?

For the life of me I cannot draw anything vaguely abstract or undetailed. It always looks like a badly drawn scribbled on blob in the end. But I’ve always been good at putting a photo onto paper or twisting something from real life into a different reality. Does anyone know if it’s possible to do an entire portfolio on realism alone, I’m mostly worried on the breadth area of the portfolio.
When I try abstract drawings it literally looks like a two year drew the thing. This is going to suck….

There is nothing there about a requirement to draw “styles” (abstract or figurative) rather a selection of techniques.

If you really feel the need to draw abstract, remember that it is possible to make an abstract of a realistic drawing, lets say you drew an extreme closeup of a subject. For example, an egg from end on so large it passes the edges of the paper – it would in effect be abstract because you have composed the picture in such a way that a viewer could not guess what it was you drew. The final product would be a good demonstration of shading technique and observation.
