What are good art history jeopardy topics?
My teacher is asking everyone to make art history jeopardy cards and i need an interesting topic. I can’t use boring predictable topics such as 19th Century art, sculpture, etc. I need something fun and playful, something that would actually be on the TV show. Thank you!

How about things that are popular today in art like: Street Art (aka Urban Art, graffiti) – A lot of street art is now considered fine art and many galleries hold exhibitions with these artists whose work sells for considerable amounts. There are websites completely devoted to street art eg. http://woostercollective.com
There is also the modern art movement called Pop-Surrealism (aka Lowbrow art) which is hugely poplular. It’s origins are rooted in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. The movement includes paintings but also toys, sculpture, and digital art. Another current theme in popular culture that you could relate to art is environmentalism – there are many “eco – artists” out there today working with recycled materials and creating art with the environment in mind.
