Panther tattoo designs are an emblem of mysterious and sensual personalities, but at the same time act as a symbol of freedom and control. Crawling Black Panthers are by far the most popular of this kind. This is a very simple Design, but large enough to cover a wide area of the body – these are also often used to cover up older pieces of unwanted body art. This design usually includes the lean muscular cat prowling, with its claws extended and mouth growling.
It is common to see small bursts of colour as well, mostly blues, green and shades of yellow or red for the eyes, mouth and sometimes the nails on the claws. Where as a scene panther design will generally show the full bodied panther in a natural setting. This may be the cat wondering in a grassy wetland, or drinking from pool of water, or even climbing up a large tree. You will also start to see more and more Chinese and Tribal Panther Tattoo designs as they have grown in popularity in recent years. The tribal designs of this beast tend to show a bold, sharp outline while the Chinese designs tend to show the full cat with a vicious expression to represent wood block-style warriors.
These creatures are known to be calm and gentle until the point is reached where their loved ones are threatened. It is at this point where they turn into vicious killing machines. This symbolic expression alone gives many people reason enough to get a panther tattoo.
So where do you find the perfect panther tattoo design? You could simply drop by your local tattoo parlour, and pick one of the ready-made solutions. The problem here is that you tend to feel rushed into making your decision, and the designs are by no means unique. The alternative is to get access to a specialised online gallery. There you will have access to thousands of award-winning designs by some of the worlds best tattoo artists. You will be able to go through them on your own time, then print the perfect design off onto tattoo paper, and only then drop by your local tattoo parlour to have it tweaked and done.
Remember one thing; your panther tattoo is going to stay with you for a much longer period of time than the time it takes to make a decision on a design. Do not take the decision process lightly – or you might regret it!
