Volvo successfully launched XC6O SUV
Luxury car maker Volvo Auto India successfully launched its small premium utility vehicle XC60, priced at Rs 39.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and at at Rs.41.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The company is planning to deliver 45 units of the new vehicle in January next year. The company is claiming to offer the latest start of the art technology ans is very sure that this Volvo XC60 will write down a new track in the SUV sector in India. A lot of people has been already pre-book the XC6O which bears testimony to the faith of the company’s customers have for the volvo brand. Vovo auto in India has just launched three years ago and opened its first dealership on March 2008. It will be available at Volvo’s dealerships across the country starting this month onwards. The XC60 will be competing with BMW’s X3 and Audi Q5 and will be imported as completely built units from Ghent in Belgium which is the Volvo manufacturing facility. Volvo currently sells two premium models in India: SUV XC90 and luxury sedan S80. Volvo XC6O SUV s fixed with the contemporary D5 Twin-Turbo diesel engine for very much power. Further features include Turn with steering lights, instant traction TM, Power Tailgate, Laser Assisted Automatic Braking for city safety, Haldex All Wheel Drive and Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC), Roll Stability Control (RSC), Advanced braking technologies, Hydraulic brake assist, Protective Advanced safety technologies. Technically Volvo XC60 has 205hp and 420Nm torque, latest Twin-Turbo and Peizo high pressure technology; 5-cylinder for enhanced performance and less fuel consumption at 13.8 km/lit mileage. The car offers choices of Auto Brake alerts, adaptive Cruise Control, Driver Alert Control, Blind Spot Information system, Lane Departure Warning, Dolby Pro-logic II Dynaudio USB and iPod Music Interface and Bluetooth hands-free system. Globally, the Volvo XC60 has won critical acclaim and has bagged over 22 awards. The company already sells two premium models in India — the luxury SUV XC90 and luxury sedan Volvo S80.
