I cudnt use his first movie in which he debuted, though…here goes
This is a Philadelphia story where once upon a time lived a Topper called Jim who had traveled North by Northwest to catch a thief. He came to Philadelphia and fell in love with a beautiful lady called Tia. His beloved and he romanced on a small cute houseboat which he made with own hands using Arsenic and Lace for décor for them to live in. Jim and Tia were happy usually but sometimes Jim used to be lost in his thoughts about the thief he had come to Philadelphia to catch. Tia was unhappy due to this monkey business of finding the thief and was always worried that Jim would lose his life, especially so when she was pregnant. She wanted to see Jim bringing up the baby. The thief he was searching for was dangerous and murderous. One day waiting in their houseboat for Jim to return Tia dozed off and the thief entered the houseboat and hid there not knowing that he is hiding in the same place where his enemy number 1 resides. Tia woke up hearing sounds which the thief made accidentally while trying to find some food and a place to hide.
Tia goes looking for the source of the sound, and she notices that there is someone hiding in her home. She decides to act as if there is no one and she isn’t suspicious. Suddenly she notices the thief hiding by his reflection in a mirror. The thief doesn’t know this. She sees his face and immediately recognizes him for who he is. She decides to wait till Jim is back from his search. Jim comes back…..Now Tia starts gesturing and gesticulating him. Jim gets confused….he asks her to speak up but Tia knoing that the thief will runaway keeps gesticulating…..Jim Shouts “ Stop this Charade Tia dear”. She stops helpless. The thief hears the voice of Jim and recognizes him. He now decides to wait till everyone is asleep and then make his move, kill Jim and escape to freedom.
Jim and Tia bicker constantly, Jim cant understand why Tia is acting up. The houseboat is a small place where you cant say any word or do anything without the other person hearing/seeing. Tia doesn’t want the thief to runaway. She finally decides to write down secretly but cannot take a chance of writing it on a piece of paper. She serves Jim his dinner in a plate and putting some garnishing and with chocolate sauce writes the message on his plate. Jim a seasoned trooper now decides to play along. He has left his gun locked in car parked outside. He cant take a risk of leaving Tia alone now that the thief has seen him. He and Tia finish their dinner acting quite normally and then he fills up a glass of wine and makes Tia have it sitting on the single bed while he starts pacing around like a father goose waiting for a chance to prance on the thief and catching him by surprise. But things turn for good. Jim discovers the exact place the thief is hiding. The thief has moved to the terrace and jim has seen his shadow in the monnlight and knows that the thief hasn’t got a good foothold. Jim suddenly turns on the motor of the houseboat and it lunges forward, due to which the thief falls in water. Jim jumps into the water and after a brief scuffle he over powers the thief. Thief lands up in the jail. Tia and Jim live happily ever after bringing up their own baby.
