why does the city play such a big role in the sex and the city movie?
how does the urban play a role in the movie and why can it not be set in any other city?
NYC was always considered as the 5th star in that show. It played just as big of a role as the actresses did. I think it was essential to the show because of the things it has to offer a single, professional girl. That show helped to showcase restaurants and stores and places in NYC that might not have been otherwise. I’m sure it could have been set in another city, but that show was based on a column written by a NYC writer.
