Paparazzo Heaven Found In Barbados

Say ‘Celebrity’ and ‘Barbados’ in the same sentence and the answer is usually ‘Rhianna’. There’s even a ‘Rhianna day’ celebrated in her native land. But Barbados, in its position as one of the foremost purveyors of tropical sun, is the ultimate destination for everybody from A-lists like the Beckhams through to the obscurest (British) names of the Z-List. And yes, they’re mostly British, as this former colony enjoys closer than usual ties with the European island nation.

Hanging out under the Tropical Sky waiting for celebrities to pass by your lens seems to be a typical mode of life for the Caribbean-based paparazzo. In fact, if you’re a female celebrity who hasn’t been photographed wearing a bikini on a Barbados beach, you may be left wondering whether you’ve had a career at all. Even in some of the island’s more prestigious hotels, Paparazzi will dodge security or shoot successfully from afar. To say that this reflects poorly on us all is somewhat of an understatement. If you ever find yourself in the presence of a celebrity, don’t harass them. That’s less for their sake than it is for your own embarassment!

January was a particularly high-yield month for the Paparazzi harvest of celebrities on Holidays to Barbados(though it’s worth mentioning at this point that the majority seem to be about as British as they come, so prepare for some international blank faces). British pop newcomer Eliza Doolittle was photographed recently (yep, in a bikini) and all over the British tabloids as a result. The same publications were quick to capture 36 year old ‘Silent Witness’ star Emilia Fox wakeboarding out on the waves, especially when her bikini bottoms started to slip to reveal her bum cheeks. Ah world, here’s one you know: showy fatty Michael Buble was photographed letting his stomach hang-out too. My word Mr Buble, just think: you could have been having Weddings abroad if it wasn’t for that high-profile split with Emily Blunt. Shame she’s with a better guy, hmm?.

So, why do Celebrities come back to a place they know they’re going to photographed? Wherever you go, this daftness is bound to happen. And if it has to happen somewhere, why not in beautiful Barbados?
