Four Poster beds – Four Poster Beds were employed by the Kings and the Queens and belongs to the sixteenth century. These beds have upright columns on all their four corners. They also have a panel above the bed which is supported by these four pillars. These beds were wrapped with curtains to make a sense of solitude as in the olden days the attendants of kings and Queens slept in the same room. These blinds also kept the bugs outside the bed. These beds were made of very exclusive mahogany wood and had outstanding carvings.
These beds look incredibly beautiful when draped with white or pink blinds and are right for teenage girls. In today’s times the posters have been done away with. Even if the beds have posters they are only one to two feet long. The carvings have also been done away with to offer the beds a current appearance. Some people still get these beds custom-built in the old accepted style. It presents the room a heavenly look. These beds are incredibly expensive costly.
Sleigh beds – Sleigh beds are in the structure of the horse drawn sleighs that were utilized by the Kings and the Queens in olden days. These beds also look like the S of English alphabet. These beds have been tailored to provide them a sleeker appearance which looks more modern. These beds are very outsized and they appear lovely only in big rooms. This is the reason why these beds are not used in today’s times. Though some people who has outsized homes still uses these beds for an cultural look.
One must not buy these beds if they don’t have a huge enough room. People who like sumptuous beds can go for these. These beds give a very regal appearance to the room.
