Pimp goblets, Crunk cups, Pimp cups, what is it? Its a goblet a pimp drinks out of. Its top of the line as far as looks are concerned. We are talking about bling to the top and bottom. Diamonds and maybe rubys and other stones.If you want to be seen with one of these in yor hand, you better have your swagger on. Swagger?, you say. Swagger is your own unique style and attitude. And you can’t fake it.
What about the pimp? Have you heard of Don Magic Juan? He was a pimp from Chicago, Illinois. He is seen these days in movies and videos. He is always seen with a goblet. He wears wild and loud colors with his hat tilted to the side. Also has the nice loud car to go along with his look. He made appearances inmovies like American Pimp and Original Gangsters.
The pimp goblets really became popular with the youngsters when the rapper Lil Jon came on the seen in 1996 – 1997 with the East Side Boyz. If you still don’t know lil Jon, he always shouted out the sayings like “what?!” or “okay!”. Or maybe a “Yeah!” or a “hey!”. Lil Jon from Atlanta Ga, aka the ATL. A very hype guy. He can be seen in the movie Scary Movie 4 and he was the host of Pimp My Ride International.
If you have heard of the popular artists like Nelly and the St Lunatics, Nelly is seen with a crunk goblet. Snoop Dogg, a self proclaimed pimp, is often seen with a crunk goblet. Gone maybe are the days when we thought of the goblet the way we remember back in history class in the ancient times. Just a wide cup or glass with a stem and a base.
Pimp goblets these days are also known as a pimp cup, sometimes called a crunk cup and can range in price from reasonable to outrageous. It just depends on how customized you want yours to be.
