anyone know about New York?
i have a relative come from calif, i would like to go to china town, i live in lake hopatcong nj, what is a good place to eat in china town, who would i contact to get info on how to get to ny by train or bus, i dont want to drive in. and what can we do in china town that is nice? if u can help that would be nice. thanks
I don’t know specific good places to eat in chinatown, but i can answer the other parts of your question.
since you don’t want to drive, the only other options are
a. taxi
b. walking
c. subway/bus
I’m pretty sure you know how to access options a and b, so i’ll tell you about option C.
a wide variety of buses and subways run around new york city. they’re all owned by the mta. go to their website for information. You can also use hopstop.com which i personally prefer.
I’m not sure why you’re targeting chinatown, since there are lots of great restaurants in midtown where it’s also more exciting. you can just walk down 42nd street and have a great time. or take a stroll through central park.
one more thing- if you want to eat in a nice restaurant, you should definitely choose ahead, and make a reservation, cause you’ll need that.
