Does anyone know of an artist like Luis Royo?

Royo’s style is quite unique – there aren’t many that are exactly similar, though there have been plagurists who have been exposed.
Some fairly similar artists can be found, such as Enik Bilal and Moebius, quite easily as they are well known and defined a generation of artists in this field.
You may like the art of Ashley Wood, too – he has a similar sketch style and several collections of his works in books and comics as well as stand alone pieces.
Who else can I say is similar..?
Victoria Frances – she’s probably most similar… Published in the same magazines and is on the same “label” when it comes to things like calenders, poster series and such-like…
Will Cormier; Amy Brown; Nenne Thomas; Renee Biertempfel; Ciruelo Cabral; Jon Jones; Neddar Shishegar…

There are so many!
The fantasy and sci-fi artwork that Royo produces is fantastic – I love the style.
I like Victoria Frances’ fantasy artwork too – a lot of it is more defined, but some has that “hazy” feel to it.
The women depicted are stunning and seductive and the poses are elegant and well captured dynamically.
You may find it easier to research the artists who design fantasy and sci-fi computer game characters to find some that are really similar – I can’t think of any names off-hand…
A lot of them are unknown, but the guys who developed the visual characters for the Playstation 3 game “Heavenly Sword” produced some stunning artwork that was very, very much like the newer works of Luis Royo.
Have you tried looking at the illustrators on the books of Black Horse Manga and Comics recently?
I believe that Royo does some work for them…
