How can I get files and music from my home computer onto my new laptop?
I just got a new HP Windows Vista laptop and i want to transfer some of my document files and music from itunes from my home computer which is also a PC.
What is the easiest way to do that?
I’ve read a little bit about networking, but I dont really understand it…
I’m not very good with computers so simple directions are much appreciated.

The easiest way is to transfer the files either with a usb flash drive.
Anything above windows 98 se you just plug it in and it looks like a hard drive.
Just drag and drop.
Then plug it into your new computer in the usb and do the reverse.
You could also burn a cd or cds- depends how much music you have. Documents are small.
You can also transfer the files easily through your network
by using this program. First 30 days it will give your full sharing. It will set up your home network and printer for sharing in a shot with explanations in real english.

There are other more complicated ways – but It does nto seem that you are looking for anything more complex.

Summary – either a flash drive , a cd if it not too much music. You can easily set up a home network with network magic setting it up and just dragging from your laptop on the old computers shared folders .
