Five Simple Tips to Build Up Your Site’s Design
When you set out to make a website for yourself, you naturally want to use tools that will make the work easier, like WYSIWYG editors and Sitegrinder. Yes, even with just the basic information about HTML, it’s possible for you to produce a website design. With this knowledge, your use of tools like Sitegrinder and the likes would become more focused and your output would improve. SiteGrinder lets you make your own website even if you are not knowledgeable about complex programming codes. Below are a few things to give you a good foundation on these design principles:
- If you made your website to be viewed publicly and you’ve made or are planning to make some promotional efforts, then you probably want your visitors to stick around and read what you entered on your site. Just be careful of the color, the manner, and the size of the font that you use on your design.
- Facilitate your browsers find their way around your website by creating a firm and dependably placed navigational menu. This menu should be at the top half of the page, meaning that it should be visible once the page loads. It’s also a good idea to give your navigational buttons names that visibly designate where your readers will be taken to when they click it.
- Avoid embedding auto-playing melody or video on your web pages. If you feel that, for some reason, you must embrace this on your website, at least put controls to it on a well-known place so they can put the music on pause. Give your users a choice to turn off the music because they might already be listening to their own music and adding yours will be loud and perplexing.
- Excessive number of advertisements on the pages. All right, advertising is considered normal and body will take it hostile to you that you have advertorial content and buttons on the body now and again. Some ads like pop-ups, pop-unders, and interstitial pages can be very irritating and intrusive that most of your readers would really rather leave your site than cope with it.
- Using your favorite animated gif as a background image, though if it’s attractive. This is an all too common misstep on the internet, probably because people think that seasoning their background will add more enthusiasm or life to their website. This is especially true for people who, for some reason, insist on using surfaced animated images as their background.
Its usual to sense excited about putting up your website, and it’s also normal to make a few mistakes when you’re starting out. If you are considerate to your readers and always think about their experience when they visit your website, chances are it will show on your design philosophy. How much promotion would you consider too much? Take into consideration that your readers are also important, and that you should think about their needs and preferences too. It gives readers a lovely experience, aside from the content of the site.
