New James Bond Game Announced By Activision
Activision have now released their earnings report for the quarter just gone. They announced that they made over $1 billion of revenue, making a massive $200 million profit just for that quarter. However, there was a hidden piece of video game news behind the announcement is a few unannounced games within the earnings report.
Deep within the report there were some hints dropped that we could soon be seeing new Spiderman, James Bond and Tony Hawk games. Currently the Spiderman game and the Tony Hawk game has not been confirmed, however, as for the Bond games, the president of Activision, Mike Griffth has confirmed it. Unfortunately, Mr Griffth didn’t give out much information, simple it was in production.
The previous James Bond game was released by Activision, and it proved to be one of the most succesful Bond games to date. That game featured the adventures from 2 films, Casino Royale and the more recent, Quantum of Solace. That game was produced by Treyarch, the master minds behind a number of Call of Duty games, most likely why it managed to get so many positive video game ratings. However, Treyarch was not mentioned as the developers behind this new announcement.
Nothing was also said about the story of the game as currently there are no new Bond films. So really the game could go in any direction, it could follow a new story, a previous film, or possibly be a prequel for another film.
As for the other 2 games, there were rumours recently about a new Spiderman film being released wich would suggest a new game release aswell, this I look forward to. Finally, the Tony Hawks game, personally I don’t think so because with Tony Hawk: Ride being released in November, I don’t believe they would try and release a second so quickly after Ride. But who knows, we’ll have to wait a hear what comes out.
