What does it take to get into uc santa cruz?

hey im a junior right now and im planning to apply at uc santa cruz senior year. in my sophomore year i had a 3.3 gpa and in my junior yr so far i have a 3.4 and it’ll prolly stay that way the whole rest of the year. Im taking my sat next month so what score should i aim for? and what does it take to get into ucsc?

Well, as you may or may not know, a lot of the UC campuses are cutting back enrollment SHARPLY, and UCSC is included in this decision. However, what you also may or may not know, is that, due to the current economic situation of the state, UCSC’s applicant numbers have greatly dropped, this is due to it’s location. Many people are planning on staying home for college and Santa Cruz isn’t technically known as a metropolitan area.

However, your GPA is on the lower side for UCSC. I would suggest aiming for a score around 1850-1900 if you are DEAD set on going to UCSC.
