Do I have to ask permission to get a Shepard Fairey rose print as a tattoo?
I adore Shepard Fairey. And as the title says, I want to get a tattoo of one of his rose designs from his many famous prints. I have seen people get the obey giant and the obey star tattooed on them, but those are already everywhere out for people to see. I assumed for those it would be alright, but what about his rose? I would like to know as soon as possible because I was planning on getting the tattoo soon. c:

You only need permission if you are reproducing his work as prints or something else and selling it without his authorization or using it in other media in some way. If you’re just getting a tattoo then it’s not necessary to get permission.
