*what is the purpose and function of a poster series?
*what information would be communicated for a theater, opera, music or dance poster?
The purpose and function is advertising. To spark curiosity in the passerby-er to want to pay and go see the ‘show’.. The information is obvious, the time, date, location, maybe names of people involved and sometimes … ticket prices. Often pictures of key players, actors or movie stills are included.
They are to spark sales…..
