What would happen if millions of people don’t pay uncle sam his money comes tax season?

I’ve heard Obama’s already pushing for a trillion dollar package. Insane. The government knows there are far more recently unemployed than those numbers are telling. And many of those people are not only broke but also owe uncle sam. What do you think would happen if 1.5 million people told the IRS to shove it?

Millions of people don’t, already. Some don’t owe it, some try to avoid it.

To any particular person that owes taxes and doesn’t pay, the IRS may (any of the following)

Put it on the back burner (no guarantee it stays there, however)
Put a lien on their property
Levy their bank accounts
Levy their wages
Take their “stuff” (seizure)
or, in rare cases, put them in jail.
