Why did walt disney draw so many animal characters?

I’ve heard that disney is evil and that Walt Disney was into bestiality. Is it true?

well, I think the only Disney Movie that kind of portrays beastiality is 'Beauty and the Beast'.. with Belle being all into the... well... Beast...
but seriously, animals are cute ^__^
and when you have animals in an animated movie rather than people, it's more endearing (e.g. the lion king) !
if HUMANS played simba and nala [during the song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight", it wouldn't just been awkward... porn, pretty much O.o

yeah,yeah,yeah- well, i suppose it's always possibly that disney is evil- but since I grew up on 'Classic Disney' I'd really like my childhood to remain relatively uncorrupted.
