Megamind Attempts To Turn Supervillain Stereotypes Around
Dreamworks has made big business of movie stereotypes. Generally, they take the main idea of a stereotype and turn it on its head. “Megamind”, the latest animated feature, asks what would take place if a supervillain were to have a midlife crisis. You will find large film celebrities in Megamind. Though reviews say the film is mixed or mediocre, those stars may be enough to carry it through.

Many audiences are bound to go in and see “Megamind” with all of the celebrities in it. Ben Stiller has a vocal performance when the major characters are played by Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Brad Pitt. Ben Stiller’s production business is Red hour Films. This business begun two years ago in beginning the “Megamind” production up.
What the ‘Megamind’ story is about
Dreamworks is the kind of company to turn the stereotypical tale on its head. This is what “Megamind” is all about. The basic superman/superhero story is what “Megamind” is all about. The supervillain finally kills his nemesis. This leads him to the midlife crisis. He needs to choose if he is going to change and help Metro City or if he wants to be a villain nevertheless
‘Megamind’ may be worth it
Megamind” has many reviews. They’re mixed though. In Russia and Ukraine about $9.5 million in sales has already been made by sales. You will find some moments of “Megamind” that are good. The rest of the movie is just okay though. The voice acting seems to almost overpower the script and story. Some movie fanatics wonder whether rapidly growing Dreamworks is expanding too quickly, which is resulting in scripts that might not be as strong as the company’s previous films. Others wonder whether the expansion is an effort by Dreamworks to create a library of characters who could be featured and expanded upon in the future. Have you seen “Megamind” yet? Is it good?
